idoc change point automatically

Hi,

I've been this article reagarding change pointer on ALE.

looks like after setting ALE, for change BD21, create BD10 for MATMAS manually, and if i want to do automatically, i have to schedule RBDMIDOC report program periodically(5 min every).

i just doubt that R/3 ALE can not configure without batch program(RBDMIDOC) in order to send IDOC(created or update or delete) automatically(real-time)?

batch RBDMIDOC program for 5min can not be real-time,

just looks like near real-time.

any idea?

Hi !

What you should do is the following:

- Go to the WE20

- Select your partner you're sending to

- Go to the "outbound parameter" details

- Mark "Transfer IDOC immed."

Then your IDOCs should be sended immediately.

Hi !

What IDOC status do they have while waiting .... ?

You may also hace a look to the SM58 ... anything there that indicates any problems sending your IDOCs ?

you have to configure necessary output types in nace transaction..so that whenever user make changes or modifies it will directly go to receiving system without batch program

Hai Venjamin

do the following settings

Change Pointers

I know how to change the description of a material using ALE Change Pointers.

I will give the following few steps

1) Tcode BD61---> check the change pointers activated check box

save and goback.

2) Tcode BD50---> check the MATMAS check box save and comeback.

3) Tcode BD51---> goto IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 select the checkbox save and comeback.

4) Tcode BD52---> give message type : matmas press ok button.

select all what ever you want and delete remaining fields.

save & come back.

5) 5) go to Tcode MM02 select one material and try to change the description and save it

it will effects the target systems material desciption will also changes

6) goto Tcode SE38 give program Name is : RBDMIDOC and Execute

give Message type : MATMAS and Executte

i am looking at the screen on the NACE transaction,

but i do not know what do i do.

please explain more detail regrading NACE in order to send IDOC without batch program.

Unfortunately the way SAP deals with the IDOC in case Master Data Dsitribution is different from the way it deals with the transactional IDOCS like PO etc.

There is no way to confiugre the Master Data IDOCS to be triggered immediately (Except for the high frequency of the program that you have mentioned RBDMIDOC).

NACE is a transaction where you can configure the transactional IDOCS to be triggered.

you mean, i am not clear, without batch program(RBDMIDOC), it is not possible to send idoc by real-time?

is this true? IDOC for master is not possible without batch program? IDOC for Trnasaction like PO is possible without batch program as real-time transaction?

Hi,

Yes there is no other way other than scheduling the program at a higher frequency for Master data.

For transactional data, the IDOCS can be transported immediately.
