Program: SAPMV45A screen 8460

Hi,

I added a custom field for table VBAP in program SAPMV45A screen 8460 and the field shows in tcode VA01, but when I type a value

table VBAP doesnt keep the value.

can somebody help me or have someone since this issue before?.

Can you explain your issue further.

Regarding the custom field that you have added, how did you add?

Did you add in the database table using append structure? Or did you just added in the screen ?

Hi Ytamar,

Also Please note the following steps,

1)Add your field in VBAP table using append structure.

2)Then drag the field to your screen using get from dictionary option.

Then surely your data will be stored in the database table

I added the new field to VBAP using the append and created a new field from dictionary to the new field.

How do I drag the field using get from dictionary?

Hi Ytamar,

Please follow the below screen shots,

In the screen shot below i have highlighted a icon, which will help in getting the values from dictionary

After you click that icon you will be popped up with another window giving you an option for get from dictionary as below.

There in that table/field name column give your table name VBAP and the click that get from dictionary.

Then you will be getting all the fileds in that table, from which you can select and drag your custom fields to the screen.

Also please note that if you drag and drop fields directly from the Database table you need not write seperate coding for saving the data in database table. The standard funtionlity will automatically do that
