Clean fields in transaction

Good days experts, my question is, I am recording the data in a CO11N transaction but do not want the data from 3 fields (arbpl, quantity and unit) these should be cleaned, in this case I have to do to be recorded, I read that you can use the set parameter but has failed me, please can guide me.

Iff you want it to be cleaned why don't you overwrite it with space ?

I am use this code:

SET PARAMETER ID 'AGR' FIELD space.

But it does not work, any other alternative please.....

Hello,

During recording time the fields you don't want to put any value don't bring your cursor on that field so, recording will not be done for that . I hope these fields are not mandatory.

Also, In case, if you get values for these three fields, what you can do is record these fields and during recording delete the values of that fields.

Why you are using SET PARAMETER I couldn't understand. Set parameter is use for call transaction.

Hi,

Did you ever come across the term "No data indicator" in BDC. Generally system pass '/' as no data indicator, but user can override it with any other symbols.

In the file, if we don't want to update any field, put '/'( no data indicator). System will uploading checks whether the field contains no data indicator. If yes, it moves on to the next field. If no, it updates the data.

You will find 'No data field' parameter on the selection screen of program BDCREX1.
