Enchancing IDoc PROACT01

Hi Folks,

I am creating an extension for IDoc PROACT01.I have added the new custom segment as a sub-segment of E1EDP31 and also assigned it to message type "PROACT" assigning the extension name and the Basic IDoc type.

Now i need advice on how to proceed ,like which BAdi to implement and how,where to code for the new custom segment.I have figured out the FM used for the PROACT01 Idoc " SMI_MASTERIDOC_CREATE_PROACT " but don't know the rest steps to enhance an IDoc.

I am new to Enhancing an IDoc.Your help will be highly appreciated.Thanks in Advance.

Hi Abhishek

If you look in the posting function module in the end their is a BADI SMI_IDOC_PROACT_OUT ebing called. You can use the method CHANGE_BEFORE_SEND and add your custom segment at correct posittion.

Thanks a lot for the reply!.Would you like to add any more relevant details which you think may be helpful for me while extending the IDoc PRAOACT01.

Also suppose i want to delete a certain field of the Segment which is already filled up in the standard code,how do i proceed with that.

For example the field JURISDIC in segment E1ADRM1 is filled up in the standard code for PROACT IDoc but i want to remove it how do i proceed as the data is stored in a single Line of "SDATA" not field wise.Thanks in Advance
