Reducing Fields in segments for Standard Message Type PROACT

Hi Folks,

I am creating an extension of IDoc PROACT01,i have added the custom segment in the Extended IDoc type and will fill the same in the BADI "SMI_IDOC_PROACT_OUT",now the problem is i also want to delete a certain field of the Segment which is already filled up in the standard code.

For example the field JURISDIC in segment E1ADRM1 is filled up in the standard code for PROACT IDoc but i want to remove it how do i proceed as the data is stored in a single Line of "SDATA" not field wise.

I have tried using the transaction BD53 for reduction of the fields.But the Message type "PROACT" isn't listed there in "Message type reference".

Please let know how can we remove the fields which are not required.Thanks in Advance

first you have to maintain the reference message type in BD60 transaction! check the existing message types and their entries

One of the way is as Kiran suggested other wise if you have some conditions based on which field should be blank you can do in the same BADI by looping at idoc_data where segname eq E1ADRM1.

lwa_E1ADRM1 = idoc_data-sdata.

if check what are the condtions you want to put.

clear:lwa_E1ADRM1-JURISDIC

idoc_data-sdata = LWA_E1ADRM1.

modify idoc_data index lv_tabix.

I didn't knew we could still read field in the segment after its written in a single line of "SDATA".There is no problem if we can read fields and delete.
