Table with detailed description of function modules / BAPI´s

Hello!

I´m searching for a table that contains the detailed description/funcionality description of a function module / BAPI´s.

I can see that in transaction SE37 -> "Function module documentation", but I need this for a lot of function modules / BAPI´s, so a table would be nice, otherwise I have to select each BAPI in SE37 manually.

For example:

"BAPI_ADDRESSORG_GETDETAIL

Short Text

BAPI to Read Organization Addresses

Functionality

The address data of the organization address for the specified object type and key is returned.

The address number used in the current system is also returned."

I found the short text in table "TFDIR", but I need the column with the text of the "Functionality" realting to the BAPI.

Hi Andreas

These are stored as long text.You can use function module READ_TEXT and pass

TDOBJECT as DOKU

TDNAME as FM name

TDID as FU

It will return you the whole text from which you can fetch functionality

Hi Andreas,

Try table SWOTLV - in ABAPNAME name of BAPI, in SHORTTEXT - short description.

For long description You can use DOCU_GET.

Thanks for the advice! But there is no table, that I can access directly from SE16?

I checked DOCU_GET in SE37 and yes, I get the longtext from there, but only for one function module. I need there an automatism, because I have to do this excercise for over 100 function modules. Is there another transaction, where I can put a list of function modules inside?

Unfortunately, I´m not a developper, but I could imagine, that a developper can build this programm, that runs in a loop over 100 function modules and returns the long texts, in 5 minutes!?

Nabheet've wrote You can also read text. But You can't easily read (ex SE16) data from texts tables (STXL).

Hi,

Just have a small report with the function module selections ( multiple entries ).

with in the Loop it will call one by one FM and stores the FM documentation!
