Hello Experts,

Consider following scenario :-

Around 16+ Adobe Forms are developed during Implementation as a global template. Now we need to rollout this to @100+ countries.

Apart from language specific translations, we need minor field addition/omission + minor layout changes for various countries.

How should this be handled :-

Option 1. Should we build overlapping windows with country specific conditions in the same Adobe Form object

Option 2. Shoud we have a copy of Adobe Form for country specific changes.

Pros/Cons :-

If Option 1 is selected :

a. One Form for all countries. From Maintenance perspective we have only 1 object, however if we change anything for 1 country, we may have to test it for other countries as well to check if anything else is impacted

b. Form becomes heavy

c. There could be performance issues

d. If Javascript is used for hiding windows, it becomes extremely difficult for developer to understand the conditions/logic

If Option 2 is selected :

a. No. of objects for AMS would be increased

b. Any change in base(global) template form needs to be applied across all the copied forms

c. Country specific changes wont have impact on other countries, so testing of form limited to a country or group of countries

Please share your thoughts on best practices & approach.

Thanks,

Best regards,

Prashant Patil
