How to Evaluate Runtime Analysis graph (SE30).

which part of the graph should be more ABAP, Database or System for a perfect program.

Hi Selva,

the steps for evaluating in se30 are as follows

Go to SE30..----- PRESS radiobutton program / transaction.

WRITE THE NAME OF THE Program or Transaction into

program / transaction..

Then press the Execute button..

When execution completes

You will get a message..

Run time analysis of "program/transaction" has finished..

Then press the "Analyze" button..

You will get the run time analysis..

What is a perfect program? Depending on what it does (many DB selects, a lot of internal table handling, etc.), you will see more ABAP or more database time spent, so these percentages by itself are quite meaningless.

If the overall runtime is considered too long, then you should focus on the SE30 (or better/newer SAT) hit list and sort it descending by the column "net runtime", looking at the top few lines. This is where most time is spent and where it makes sense to optimize code.
