How to add column in tables of smartform

I want to add column in table in smartform. Can any one tell me step by step how to add ??

Hi,

You can use attachment for first three steps.

in third step the number of horizontal line u draw will create same number of columns

fourth step : right click on header, main area, footer and create TABLE LINE.

fifth step : select LINE TYPE and you will see in the main area number of cell created are same as number of line you drew in third step.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I already created a table and now i want to add 2 column filed in table.I dont want to create any other table.I want to add column in the current table. Here is attachment you can see where i want to add. I want to add 2 new column before second column.

Hi Atin,

Right click in the line type and split the line into multiple colums (cell).

Hi Atin,

If it is an existing smartform to which you are making changes first check the table line(for e.g. ROW 1) you want to change.Once you find that out check the line type(say L1) assigned to the table line and add a column to L1 , before that just check whether L1 is assigned to any other table line, if it is assigned to any other table line it is recommended to copy the line type L1 to L2 and make changes to L2 and then reassign L2 to ROW 1.

If you are creating the smartform from scratch while creating the table first you need to create line types where you actually define the number of columns and the width etc for the different rows of the table(as per your requirement).Once these line types are created(say L1 , L2 , L3), you need to create table lines at Header , Main Area or Footer Area of the table according to the requirement. While creating the table lines you will be prompted to assign line types. Assign the required line types i.e. define the columns of the table.

HI Atin,

We you select icon "Draw Lines and Columns" marked with red on 2nd attachment .

Then bring the mouse pointer over %LTYPE1, you will see the mouse pointer will appear as pencil symbol.

Now draw this pencil symbol for upper marked arrow to lower marked arrow. for each line you draw a new column is created.

Double click on newtable and goto first tab-> TABEL .

Here you can modify existing columns.
