My clone of IDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY calls this user exit but the program nevers finds it. I verified this with break-points.

I have a Cmod for the function group (ZV56K001) which calls the V56K0001 enhancement and both components are active for the project.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Janet

My notes are old on this, but give this a try. Enter your shipment number in VT02N, select go to output, enter your output method, select Further data, select "Send with periodically scheduled job", save and exit.

Then go to the WE15 transaction, enter your output information and hit execute.

Regards,

Steve

Janet,

the reason is probably that there is some special "magic" with the CMOD user exits that gets lost when copying the standard code. I would guess that somewhere behind the scenes in the CMOD framework, customer-function call will be ignored unless it is located in SAP standard code.

--> Just another of the many problems involved with copy-paste-development.

Regards, Rüdiger

Hi Janet,

ZXTRKU02 is part of fm EXIT_SAPLV56K_002.

You can try the following:

Call transaction CMOD and call menu option Goto -> Search. Then press Shift + F9 to get all selections. Fill the enhancement component with EXIT_SAPLV56K_002 and press F8.

Now you will get a list of enhancement projects where the exit is used. If you get no project, then you have to add enhancement V56K0001 to a customer enhancement project and activate it.

But normally you should have an active enhancement project (for example project V56K0001). Deactivate and then reactivate it on the CMOD start screen.

Maybe this will solve your issue.

Regards,

Klaus

We appear to be getting close, but still not working.

My ZIDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY is in function group ZV56K. which is basically a copy of group V56K with some additional logic for the EDIDC record.

I found Cmod project ZV56K001 that has the Enhancement assignment V56K0001 and component EXIT_SAPLV56K_002.

Is there a tie from project ZV56K001 to the ZV56K function group?

Hi Janet,

1st try to deactivate and reactivate your CMOD project ZV56K001.

If the user exit doesn't work after reactivation, you can try to replace

CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '002' (original call from LV56KF0I)

in your copy of this include (should be ZLV56KF0I)

with

CALL FUNCTION EXIT_SAPLV56K_002.

But make sure that you have copied LV56KF0I to a Z include.

If this works, you should check additionally, if you need CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '001' too, because this might also not be processed.

Regards,

Klaus
