Table entries deleted after Table changes

Hi,

We have a custom table in production client and we added two new non key fields in the table in development client. The changes are transported to production which caused deletion of some of the existing table entries in the table. Any idea on the reason for such behavior?

Hi Arun Ranjan,

I think you have activated database utility with Second option Delete data. Don't use Delete Data.

Use Save Data

Hello Arun.

Are you sure that the records got deleted only after transporting from DVT to PRD?

Is there any possibility that records might have been deleted by some other user tcodes?

Please check, whether have you created a table with MANDT in first field.

If not, above issue will come.

Yes I checked it was not deleted by any users or programs.

Have you adjusted physical database using database utility.

If yes, while adjusting you may use delete option.

In This Case I think You May Be Change The Data Type Of existing field with Newly add field ,

please Make Sure You Dont Change The Data Type of existing field.

Adding new non key fields should not require an explicit database adjustement through SE14, so this is strange. Can you analyze the log of transport, step dictionary activation ?
