Error Log when ran in foreground .

Hi ,

I am using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION and HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA .

This FMs s are not returning the status log when dialog_mode = 2 that is when ran in foreground .

Is there any way to fix this .

Please suggest .

Hello Sucharita,

I beleive, in dialogue mode, following happens for HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION;

1) If error then the Importing Parameter, "Return" as well as "Key" remains empty

2) If successful. only the Key is populated.

Ideally, for Dialogue mode = 2, the error is displayed in screen and thus system does not return back the error to the function module.

Hi Anirban ,

I am afraid, this is not the case .

The parameter also does not help while ran in foreground .
Even if there is any error , it gets filled up , because within the FM,it checks if the return parameter is initial, then fill the key .
So KEY parameter is not of any use here ..
