email notification not sent

Hi experts,

i am trying to generate an email to my outlook from Z program. problem here is i could able to see the document at SBWP transaction in outbox but it is not received to my outlook. there is no entry in SOST transaction.what might be the cause and how to rectify that? can any one help me at earlier.

how are you sending the email...function module?..method?..check whether you have marked it to sent to external mail...

Hi PS,

check forum there are many threads on the same.

However, SCOT need to be configured and need to run RSWUWFML2 report in background for things to reach Outlook.

thanks for quick responce, but already i marked the parameter

PUT_IN_OUTBOX = 'X'

and am using F.M 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'

HI Aditya,

I checked with basis consultant. they replied scot configuration done already but still it is not trigerred to my outlook. one thing i dnt find any document in 'sost' transaction, but i could see in my outbox of SBWP transaction.

Hi PS,

Check RSWUWFML2 report is set as background, OR you can use SWNCONFIG for ECC 6 version.

Ok, in tables , you will have RECIEVERS ...try to mention..email id there and reciever type as 'U'..Or else if proper email id is maintained in the usermaster and you want to sent to that mail id... then try running program RSWUWFML2 .

As an ABAPer i dnt hve authorisation for the above mentioned transactions. i would suggest my BASIS consultant to check those things. one thing need to confirm is anything need to do from abap side? please suggest.

Receiver list in tables already maintained with mail id and type "U". but can u precise more on RSWUWFML2 program. how to run ? what need to pass ?

Hi Pavan,

If your 'SCOT" settings are al ok then i think it is this parameter which is causing it the go to your outbox.

"PUT_IN_OUTBOX = 'X' "

leave it blank which is the default setting, and it should then flow to SOST and ultimately your outlook mailbox.

But try to avoid RSCONN01 part, especially in DEV/Quality systems it will execute all the waiting items in SOST which may cause a serious havoc.'For DEV/QA uts better to go to SOST and execute your item individually.

However this program will run in background in Production systems on regular intervals, so better to avoid it completely.
