main Window in smart forms

Hi all experts,

I have a main window to be desingned as below,

1)As you see i have four columns and fourth column is divide in to three again(unit price,total price and tax).

2)in th footer there are so many fields as given in the image above, in that sub total is sum of total, then tax is sum of tax and invoice total is sum of both sub total and tax.

3)Exchange rate note on left is taken form a table.

Can you pls help me desiging this main window in smart form. Please note that all my logic must not be in smartform it should be in driver program.

Hello Satish,

Use two templetes.It will solve your issue and you can solve.

for the second templete you can use two windows and over the one on another it will solve your requiremnt.As using templetes we can divide only vertically not horizantally.

Hi satish,

1. First create a page , then create header window. inside that window -> create a template -> draw the header just like in your image.

then added text inside the header window and assign the text to the template component by specifiying the output structure in output options tab of text.

2. Inside the main window , create a table . you can also total the sum by using the calculation tab.

3. same way like creating the header , create a template inside the footer window and you can set at the end of main window checkbox in condition tab of footer window ,if you want to display the footer only at the end of main window..

Hi Satish,

Create a Table, which has different line types.

Divide the Columns according to your requirement in Each Line Type.

By Observing the diagram i can say a single linetype will be enough for the Items.

And two line types for Header and Footer as they have sub dividings in them.

Yes you can create it , in a main window . While creating the table , draw the layout such that it will be like the above figure that u except.

if table try like this

in main area for Row1 maintain %ltype1 and for row 2 %ltype2

Dear Bala,

Try this layout there are three lines.

In the table header use the first two line types(%LTYPE1,%LTYPE2).

in the line type (%LTYPE1) use col1,col2 col3(Quality and) , col5(line charge).

in the line type (%LTYPE2) use the col3(UOM),col4(unit price),col5(total price),col6(tax amount)

and in the main area use the third line type(%LTYPE3) use your work area variable.

In the footer use the fourth line type(%LTYPE4)( use in the footer use it for three rows and achive you goal .

your problem will resolved.

In the second templete there is no possibility of divinding the third colum into two so better create another window and try to print in that as this only total amount and it occur at last
