Placing graph in e-mail body

Hi,

We have a requirement where a report program needs to be developed which places the graph output in e-mail body and sends across. The data required for graph is made available in the program and it will be run in the background mode. Request you to help me out with possible ways of achieving the requirement.

Use graph_matrix_3d FM.

Set appropriate parameters for sending mail.

mail_allow = SPACE " Allows sending the graphic as mail

* so_contents = SPACE " Subtitle of generated SAPoffice document

* so_receiver = SPACE

Susmitha,

Thanks for your reply. But my requirement is that I should capture the generated graph as an image and place it in the e-mail body along with condition that the custom program will be run in background. If I use any of the graph generating FMs during background run, it will result in runtime error because those FMs need active GUI for the graph display.

Do let me know if there is any other way.

Hi Athreya,

If you go inside the FM graph_matrix_3d, you can see the function that is being used to send mail.

Probably you can use just that function in your program so that the requirement of GUI can be done with.

See the follwoing subroutines used in the FM.

GR_SEND(SAPLGRAP)

GR_SEND_C(SAPLGRAP)

And the final function module that is used to send the graph. (lines 527-536)

IF NOT SO_SEND IS INITIAL.           "// OBJ_STAT = 'CREATE'
     CALL FUNCTION 'GRAPH_OBJ_SO_SEND'
          EXPORTING
               APP_TYPE = DEF_ID

Check where used list using this FM GRAPH_MATRIX_3D.

Hi Karan,

With in the screens navigation in module pool, are using the call screen, leave to screen or set screen syntax's.

If you want to call the reports or list from module pool need to use the below syntax at PBO or PAI

This statement can be executed during PBOand PAI processing. After processing the current dynpro, this statement interrupts the respective dynpro sequence, starts the list processor, and displays the basic list. The basic list consists of the list outputs of all PBO and PAI modules of the dynpro sequence executed to this point. The statement has no effect in the event blocks for reporting events and list events.

leave to list-processing and return to screen 0.
