Hi,

I am using a LSMW BAPI to upload data from input file(on presentation server) to SAP system. i could upload the data and perform the mappings. My question is do we need to create partner number and partner type in WE20? if yes, what partner type do I need to create either LS9logical system) or US(user). Do I need to do any settings from ALE point of view. Please let me know. This is urgent.

I will assure you full points for the quick replies. Thanks

hi, Boda

if you want to import BAPI in LSMW, create ALE message type for the BAPI in BDBG.

And also need to create a LS partner in WE20, add the ALE message into outbound & inbound acceptable.

And assign a file port to it.

If you are using already existing Business object in LSMW then why you need to think about partner creation? YOu can map the fields and execute the LSMW.

If the business object exist with LSMW you do not need to do this.

However if you need to import another BAPI then you have to do that.

Cheers,

Thomas.
