user group assignment through org. structure

Hello everybody!

The organization which I work in does not have total HR implementation, but they do have Org. structure to use for authorization assignment .

Have anybody tried to assign user group through positions in the Org. structure instead of su01?

I tried to do so, but something not working, the assignment have no affect on USR02 table.

Am I missing something or it's just not suppose to work?

you will have to run report rhrprofl0 after the assigment

Hi Julia

Did you create a relatioship (HRP1001) assignment for the HR object to User Group?

Is that relationship meant to be updating Authorisation Group (USR02) or the Groups Tab (USGRP_USER) as you can assign multiple user groups to the position/object?

After executing rhrprofl0 can you check the Groups Tab?

Hi Colleen,

I did create a relationship and it's meant to update the usr02.

After executing rhrprofl0 nothing got changed , in any tab...

Maybe I'm executing it wrong or maybe some note is missing?

Any thoughts?

you will have to apply the right relationships first look at system help for that

Possibly have a look at program RHUSGRP0 - noticed it in table T77EO for Object Type UG (User Group) which program rhprofl0 looks up.
