problem in as02 transaction?

Hi all,

In as01 transaction i am creating an asset and my requirement is to add a real estate location field and it should be filled based on the cost centre real estate location. i am done with the code.

now the problem is first time i am creating an asset with the real estate location "RBS' (suppose) and if i am checking the real estate location field in as02 it showing "RBS' even in the as03 also it is showing the same but if i am changing the real estate location to blank(if it is initial) and creating an asset but in the as02 transaction it is showing 'RBS' only but if i am changing the value to some other real estate location it showing the changed values.(for eg if i am changing the value from 'RBS' to 'AAA' it is showing the changed values in as02 and as03)

problem is coming when the real estate location is empty, it is showing the previous real estate location value. and it should be dispaly the blank value in as02 and as03.

can any one please provide me the solution..

Hi,

When your making location field blank then after saving the record check the table ANLZ field STORT, if this field is also blank then the standrad functioalty is working fne, still if it is coming in AS02 or AS03, then check the code which you have added through exit or BADI or you can post your code in the forum. As your real state location is based on the cost center so what logic you have use for this are you mainatining in Z table relation ship of cost center & location or in the cost center master data.

Hi Bharath,

you are selecting some data and filling in the field.

SAP only updates the field if your select is successfully else leaves it as is.

Before the Select in your code clear the value in that case the select will fill the value and it it fails then empty value will be updated.
