How can I subscribe to events generated In SAP system Using java?

Hi all,

I am new to SAP development. I have a particular use case, listed bellow.

If a particular kind of events get generated in SAP system, my java application should subscribe to those event,

and take some appropriate actin.

For example -Say an invoice is raised in SAP system. My java client should know about, that a Invoice is raised, and here is the invoice number.

I think you people should understand what i want to do.

So my question is, is there any kind of event subscription API exposed by SAP?

If its is there, whit it is and how do i get those?

If such API/mechanism doesn't exists, whats the alternate way?

(One alternate way could be subscribing to events at GUI level- I am taking a SHOT)

Hello, you can look at the information on the java connector, I attached an example.
