Job submit using F9

Hi All,

When I submit a job for background processing using F9 from the ABAP editor (SE38),

Then when I go to sm37 to view the job status, it shows 'CANCELLED'.

Any clues? how to debug or find solution?

Hi Nirav,

Job got cancelled may be because of an ABAP dump, you can check the same in ST22.

How to debug the cancelled job?

In the SM37 job log screen, select your job and type JDBG in the command filed and press enter, this will take you to the program in the debugging mode.

The first step should lead you to the job log, I strongly assume you know how to find and read this.

A message of type E is enough to cancel a running job, so check if any of these appear in the log, possibly with a long text that explains the issue.

If the job log points you to ST22, then continue there.
