Is it possible when creating a characteristic in TCode CT04 with a default system time value.

I am trying to set a default value in a characteristic that dynamically changes with system time ( sy-uzeit ).

Ohk. I am not connected to a system right now but have you already tried specifying sy-uzeit in the default value field in CT04?

The other way to achieve this would be to set the default value for the characteristic using dependencies - either procedure or constraint. I think there you can use system variables as in ABAP code. Have you already tried that?

Dear Kumar,

I tried using sy-uzeit directly in the default value but its not working. I am not familiar with the syntax in dependency editor. Could you kindly provide an example.
