SRM System - PO Create

Dear all,

We have a scenario where, we are creating Purchase Order in XML format in SRM system and transferred to our PI system. The message type is PurchaseOrderRequest_Out . If we have to manipulate certain values at the time of creation of the XML, do we have a user exit or enhancement spot that we can use in the SRM system ? In an IDOC scenario, there are user exits available where we can modify the contents, and even add additional segments.

Hi Bobby,

Can you put more light on your query that what exactly changes you are looking for while transferring.

Because some of the things you can modify using BADI BBP_DOC_DAVE_BADI.

Hi Bobby,

You can use BADI BBP_SAPXML1_OUT_BADI for Object Type Purchase Order for this requirement.

I am exploring both the BADIs now. I will explain the scenario a little better here.

We have the PO being sent to PI system. In the XML message, if we want to do some manipulation, for eg : The below snapshot is an example of the XML segment - Seller Party.

I need to manipulate the data in this segment, before passing it to PI. The reason is that, the business logic is something that I wanted to maintain in the source system itself rather than the middleware system.

- <PhysicalAddress>

<CityName>SENLIS CEDEX</CityName>

Hey Bobby,

In that case, you need to write logic in the methods of proxy which you are using to pass messages to PI system. There you need to find the right method and write the code which will change data before XML construction.
