Hello Friends,

I have an existing Custom report which just extracts data from BKPF and BSEG tables.

I have to replace it with DART extracts. So I am trying to create extracts.

When I created an Extract with Online DB - I have the FI document Header and Line Item segments created in the extract. But when I tried to create the same after Archived and deleted the records from the Online DB - I could not see the FI Header and LIne Item segments but I have all the other data segments. Because of this when I create a view I am getting an error like this.

I have checked using the Option - Retrieve from Archived data and I could see the deleted records in TXW_S_BKPF table. I am not able to bring this data into the view - 0SAP_BKPF.

Any suggestions PLease...I need to create an extract using the Archived data and create an view using that extract.

Thanks

Swarna

Hello Swarna,

If you have archived the FI Data you can't read this data anymore using the SAP Dart.

The checkbox for read archive only works when the data has been releaded to the TXW tables/structues for archived data.

You first have to run the Transaction FTWB to load given TXW Tables to be able to get the archived data using the SAP Dart. But SAP States "(This tool should be used only in "emergency" situations since not all application tables will be reloaded!)"

Hope this helps.

regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

I might sound out of context. But Im struggling with a DART Enhancement.

I need to change the fields of a view change dynamically. So, where can I do write program for that logic? In a Function exit?

Another Question ! I created a new segment from a structure. But, when I use FTW1A to archive data into a file my custom segment is not being hit even though i put a breakpoint in FTXW0001.

What to do?

Do you mean a view such as those in transaction FTWH if so then you need to use the transaction FTWY.

To your FTXW0001 question:

Go here http://sapass.metro.client.jp/UserExit/ and look for FTXW0001 This side has a lot of useful information for you.

I take it you added the coding to the include in SAP Function EXIT_SAPLTXW2_001

The CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '001' is called in TXW_SEGMENT_RECORD_EXPORT

This is where you get into the the customer function:

IF glo_extract_status-x_user_exit1 = 'X' AND
      glo_seg_status-index_id = '1'.

Hope this helps

Mark
