Hello gurus!

I have a doubt about developmente in Trx SE37.

The thing is that we're making some changes in FM's that have been working fine for years. Then we made the changes, activate the FM's in Dev and everything worked fine. When these FM's were transported to QA, there were errors and we don't know exactly why is thins happening and we're working to find the root problem. Meanwhile, the application in QA is having some crashes because of this error. To stop this and gain some time meanwhile the root problem is fixed, we eant to make a little modification to the code in the FM in SE37 in QA. We're using a SAP-ALL user and when we want to modify the code in the Source Code section in SE37, there are no restrictions prompted or anything, but the code appears in gray and cannot be modified. We need to do this here but we don't know what else we have to do to make this since the user have clearance to do anything in the system.

Any ideas?

Else, do the necessary transports.

HI,

Compare the function module in both Development and Quality system, transport the code or Include programs which are not in sync with Development system.

Also in Quality system, check out the dump in ST22 transaction which occurs when your application gets crashed, analysing the dump you can easily identify in which program or part of the function module you are getting dump. Just move those includes or compare those includes and move them to Quality.

Thanks & Regards

Bala Krishna

The reason that you can't modify in QA is that the system knows that QA is not the source system. Your Basis administrator can change this, but I expect would refuse.

Also, you can change it as a modification. It would then act as if you were changing a system object like with a note.

Really, however, what you have been told is true. There are changes in other transports ( or in local object types ) that have not been transported to QA. Getting these to QA is the only "right" way to fix your problem.

Neal

This new transport once moved should fix the errors in QAS unless you have changed some other things. This version should be the version before you moved the last changed and caused the QAS to error/dump.

best regards,

swanand

Hi

You said, when you transported the changes from DEV to QAS, there were errors?

What are those errors?

Can you please paste the error in STMS_IMPORT ?

It seems that you might have made some changes to Table, domain, or data element Or any other dependent objects that were stored in some other transport request.

Regards,

Venkat

Hello All

Thank you so much for the helpful and qucik answers. You are right, the best way to solve this is correcting everything in Dev and so transporting it to QA. Here is the error that appears in ST22:

Checking this, the error comes from the include LZBAPI_WAPI$07 from the FM (which is in the same function group) Z_WORKITEM_LIST_COMPLETE. And supposedly the field ZWI_LIST is unknown. The odd thing is that in Dev this works perfectly. Why is this?

this object ZWI_LIST needs to be moved to QAS. It is working in Dev since it was developed there.
