Smartform to pdf using SPOOL?

Hi experts,

I have created spool request number to smartform.

I have created pdf documents using program RSTXPDFT4.

In my form , I need to get 3 copies of invoice form with different title each.

When i see with trasaction in VF03 the print preview showing correct form different 3 different titles.

But when i give spool number in RSTXPDF4 , it is generating 3 copies but with same name.

I have to give name for 3 copies of pdf document as , Invoice, Invoice copy, Invoice copy.

Help me if any other setting need to be done?

Hi,

Are you referring to the name given to the spool. You might just want to copy the program and tweak the spool attributes in your copy program to get the desired name.

Hi Siva,

RSTXPDFT4 will only create one file from a spool. It is just the spool
that is converted to PDF. For normal printing the copy counter is sent
to the OS to tell it print that number of copies.

The only thing I can suggest is to copy the file created on the
Windows level.
1. Set up a 'Print to File' printer in the Windows Print Manager of your
Frontend PC as per Note #576973 with the steps:

2. Set up an Output Device in SPAD with following attibutes:

a. Host Spool Access Method: G: Printing on Frontend computer
b. Device Type: PDF1
c. Host Printer: <Shared Name> of printer you set up in Windows.(e.g.
PDFTEST in his case)

3. After printing, when you are prompted to name the file in a pop-up on
your Frontend PC, be sure to give it '.pdf' extension.

I made a test and its works. I used copy window (copies different ) in my smartforms.
