Service Material

Hello,

I have developed program to upload service material through AC01 and i have used Bapi BAPI_SERVICE_CREATE to create new service material and

BAPI_SERVICE_CHANGE to change service material, everything is working fine.

when service material is already in use so we can not change base UOM(unit of measure) but we can change other field manually, issue is when program try to change any other field I am getting error message say "Unit of measure cannot be changed( contract contain service) and even I am not passing UOM to BAPI.

Could any body tell me why this is happing?

ever thought about if it is because you are not passing the unit of measure?

furhter you usually need to supply the ISO code for the unit of measure in a BAPI instead of the unit of measure itself.

e.g. instead of KG you would need to have KGM in that unit field, because KGM is the ISO code for KG.

Hi,

Check whether in structure IM_SERVICE_DATAX, the UOM flag is set to 'X'. It it is set to X and you dint pass any value for UOM, then the service will try changing the UOM to null value. So please remove the 'X' if given.

The FM will try changing the value of the fields which are set to X in IM_SERVICE_DATAX .

Please check and revert back.

Even I have tried the same thing, not passing any value in IM_SERVICE_DATAX-UOM, but still getting the same error.

SAP is checking:

IF ASMD-MEINS <> *ASMD-MEINS.

in program LBAS0I0G

maybe you should debug what you see there
