Hello Guido.

You have to write the business logic to check if that field is empty or not.

Regards.

It depends when you want to display the error. I'm not familiar with the program but if, for example, you wish to output the error when saving you will need to find a suitable exit or enhancement point and check the field value there.

Hello,

Its not like you have made one field as required, it will show error. you need to write some code or make some validation to check for the mandatory condition like

" demo Code..

if <Some_field> is initial.

" show error message

end if.

BR

Chandra.

Thanks all for your input.

You (all) ask me to program extra code (in PAI or UE).

But if you define the field as required SAP should handle this by std.

And in fact it does give an error message. But I need to be in the correct screen.

Why does SAP at Save not check all fields in all tabs (screens)?

(I expected this to be std in SAP; like eg in ME21N/VA01 (create pur./sls order))

HI Guido：

As you said, some SAP programs have user-exit,special some comon t-code.My advice is find the user-exit of the save event in MIRO.Just like badi or Exit.Check the PO and IV are the same，inconsistent error.
