Table does not exist in the DB

Hi All,

We have added some new fields in a custom table and tried to adjust the table in the database using t-code se14.

But somehow table is not getting activated and showing the status partly active.

In this custom table we have also appeneded a structure, status for the same is also partly active.

We tried with continue adjustment in t-code se14 but no luck. It is displaying errors.

Hi sanjeev,

In SE14, enter you Custom-Table name and then click on EDIT. On the next screen click on Activate and Adjust Database. Hopefully this will solve your problem.

Hi,

Once you Activate and adjust in database in SE14 go to the following structure using SE11 (which is partially active ) and Activate it. And Activate the table through SE11 once again.

Hi Frederic,

In the activation log we are getting the below errors:

Activate Dependent view /CNV/90005001736

Field z3af_mileage-rowid does not exist.

Key field z3af_mileage-bukrs missing.

The view is also not in the database. But it is refering our custom table.

Hi Wahjudi,

We are not getting any option of Activate and Adjust Database.

It is displaying some errors.

We have 2 options;

Continue Adjustment. - We tried this option but no luck.

Unlock Table. - It is giving a message existing data will be lost.

Are you sure you have made a check on SE11 to control your table ?

I have made a check on SE11 and it shows no consistencies found.

Please check the screenshot of the activation log.

have you modified any key fields ? And whats the enhancement category for the same ?

in first instance I would say you have to fix the dependent view , try to give a look how the lock object has been built

You view seems to have fields like ROWID that doesn't exist.

Did you remove some fields in your table that it was used by your view ??

Hi Sanjeev,

To me a table normally have a table definition and a table content, which can be separately transported to other system. I assume this issue is still in DEV?

Here is my idea:

What if you create 2 requests one have the table definition only, and the other one the table content for this custom-table. Then try to release the table definition request? If you have any locks, it should then be released anyway...Then you could decide to transport this to QAS.

If this went OK, then you can also release + transport (or not) the table content as well.

Hello Sanjeev,

To resolve the mentioned problem please follow the instructions given in following SAP note :

1020887 - Generated views in receiver system not deleted correctly.

A key field of the base table was not included in a view which is not marked as 'read only'. Views with which data is to be changed or inserted must contain all the key fields of the base table.

It will resolve your issue.

Hi Sanjeev,

I think view /CNV/9000500173C' is related to your table, Follow below steps to find if your table is related to view or not..

1. do a where-used search for that table , in se11.

2. In the selection window, TICK THE CHECK BOX FOR VIEW. (u may untick the others)

3. The extra field which u added, is it a part of the primary key of the table, or normal field ?

so Check in view /CNV/9000500173C whether fields 'ROWID', 'BUKRS', REINR' exists or not...

This might be the cause of error. Also check In Delivery and Maintenance tab in table check whether Display/Maintenance allowed or not.

or use FM 'DDIF_TABL_ACTIVATE' to activate your table....
