Hi, i found out my sap system have some table which start with S, for eg, S512, which is for customized program update.

I try to find where it be create and how it be used for, but couldnt get it.

Please advise.

Hi,

tables started with Sxxx are Structure info

that means, tables to agregate data and have values in front of this data. Example, prices, quantities for deliveries ....

These tables are created by customizing (in different places)

you can find it, where the objects are used by pressing the button WHERE USED LIST .

Hi,

This is not a database table. It is an information structure.

Its values are populated at run time based on certain rules defined in transaction MC25.

The different info structures available are given in table TMC4.

Other useful transaction codes wrt infostructures are as follows.

Tcode OMO1 - To define how the structure should be updated.

TCODE MC23 - Exract data from info structure.

TCode MC24 - to assign Update rules.

MCVR - to verify if info structure can be updated for every document.

You can update/change fields for standard infostructures (S001-S499) using MC7F and user created infostructures (s500-s999) can be done through MC18/MC21.
