No, all you need to do is put the function group on a transport. You will need a development class/package that is tied to a transport layer. Go to SE80, enter the name of the function group, hit enter. Now double click on the function group in the tree structure. Click main program, now click Go To, Object Directly Entry, click the change/display icon, enter the name of development class/package which is tied to a transport layer. The system will then ask you for a transport request, create one now.

Regards,

Rich Heilman

NO.. there is no need to re-create.. Function Groups can be transported just like any other DEv Objects.

Regards,

Suresh Datti

You can transport it.

go to se38 and give the func group name

Go to->Object Directory Entry.

click on the pencil button to make it input enable.

Assign a project/dev class.

and press enter.

It will now ask for a transport request.

Regards,

Ravi

When you created the function group, did you assign it to a local object or did you assign it to a transportable package? If you assigned it to a transportable package, it should have already asked you for a transport. If you created it as a local object, then you need to reassign the function group to a transportable package and then transport it.

Go to SE37, enter a function module name belonging to that function group. Then in the menu choose, 'Go To--> Object Directory Entry' and change the $TMP value to something that you should use as a package. Ask your basis team, if you are not sure.
