Error (different format)while opening office 2007 documents with extn (xslx docx) from GOS

Hi ,

I have stored documents in GOS (newly custom z created )using cl_fitv_gos=>save and then later retrieving the same using cl_fitv_gos=>get_content and passing data to portal binary content using RFC. All other document types like doc , pdf, xls open from portal but those with extensions xlsx docx opening.I have checked the mime types these new extensions are maintained .

Any suggestions or solutions.

Hi,

Do you get to view the document in browser. check if the browser office plug-in supports opening DOCX, and XLSX, its called web-components of office. You might be having the older version which does not support post 2010 extensions like docx and xlsx.

So is it ok now. Or how do you access your portal is it a web-portal or something else?
