table maintenance generator

Hello Experts ,

I am trying to create table maintenance for a table with 111 fields , but I am getting

1.an error saying screen cannot be generated ,

2.memory for screen load is used up. bytes) is not available

I am creating with 2 step. but still same error.

any ideas how to overcome this problem?

Hi,

I think a table with 111 fields too wild for maintenance screen.

Try editable ALV for this. because

1) with ALV you can have more flexible view, and control

2) you can use ctrl+C and ctrl+V from excel ( table maintenance use table control, and with table control you can paste to visible fields )

3) with ALV you can download your data to excel or other type of file

4) I think table maintenance has limit, for example if you want to add field with char255 it will shorten your field display ( I dunno how much field but check this : http://scn.sap.com/thread/1717056 )

This is the problem with field that has 250 characters.

So I reduced it to 60 characters long and I have managed to create Table Maintenance.
