restrict data retrieved from table maintenance generator

dear all ,

i need to restrict data retrieved from table maintenance generator as i add flag in table so in need data displayed in table maintenance generator which flag not 'x' .

so in which event i will do that with data retrieved .

please advise .

Hi Ahmed Tohamy,

why cant you add one more column in your ZTABLE and put 'X' .

so if u put 'X' means while fetching records from ZTABLE , you can code it like flag ne 'X'.

i think event no .1 'before saving the data in the database '

Use event AA Event AA: Instead of the Standard Data Read Routine (SAP Library - BC - Generate Table Maintenanc...

This event occurs when the data to be maintained is read in. A different
logic from the standard can run, for example:

to read in additional data
to change the data read in
to read in the data differently from in the standard, possibly with
additional checks.

You will find some code snippets in SDN
