Standard Table is not active, DDPRS table error

Hi,

I tried to make a change in a dictionary object (Custom Domain ZZXXX) and it is being used in many structures and the structures were appended in few standard tables.

When I tried to activate the domain, somehow my connection to server was broken and activation was interrupted, hence the domain was partly active.

Based on the several discussion created in SCN, we deleted and recreated the domain and is now active. but the table in which it was used is partly active.

Approach 1 - Whenever I try in SE14 to activate and adjust, I am getting the DUMP as "A SQL Error occurred while accessing the table" in detail, the table DDPRS table with the protname "ACTTABLISISCD_DEPO_CLS_STR_DEPCLOSE" could not be deleted.

Approach 2 - I even tried with the debugging mode of SE16 to delete the entry, but got the same dump. Please help me to delete this entry and activate the standard tables affected.

Attached the DUMP error I am getting.

Hi,

Try to activate and adjust the tables. If not possible write code to delete entries in them.

Hi Balaji

It can be solved by deleting the entries in the table..

Go to SE14

Provide the table name

Select the radio button Delete Data

and click on Activate and Adjust..

once the entries are deleted..you will be able to activate the table..

try going to table DDPRS and activate it first
if you change the domain then you need to delete entries from all the tables that uses it and then activate them....

Hi Geerthi,

go to se14 and check the radio button delete data and do activate and adjust database this should work fine for you...

I tried to activate in SE14 but I got the same dump error message as the attached screen shot.

Hi Maverick,

I checked the DDPRS table, it is in Active state and I checked all the other standard tables where this domain was in use, everything is activated except this problematic standard table.

You mean to say that "deleting the standard table entries and adjust", right? I tried this approach but it is again ended up with the same dump. Please help.

do all the standard tables where this domain is used are active ? and they do not have any data ???

Hi Geerthi,

Remove the include structure having that domain from the table and then try activating that table by going to se14, once done add the include structure back to your table and activate it.

Hi All,

Here is a thing I found when I debugged the activation of domain and stopped where it gone to DUMP. There is an entry in the table DDPRS with PROTNAME = ACTTABLISISCD_DEPO_CLS_STR_DEPCLOSE. This particular entry is not been deleted with any manner, (with the program RADPROTA or with the Z program which has the code to delete the particular entry in DDPRS). When I see at the RADPROTA program, it has no log contents. This entry is being tried to delete whenever the standard table or domain is activated and lead to the dump since the entry could not be deleted.

Please consider this and help me to activate the Standard Table.

I am not sure , but have a look at these notes , may be they can help , however check the sap release as they are pretty old , may not be valid in your case...

Hi Maverick,

Thanks for the notes, I referred it and got an idea. The server was interrupted when I was activating the domain hence the tables were not properly updated. This notes explained the same. But before taking the resolutions given by the notes, I did adjusting of DDPRS and DDPRH, then activated the table in SE11, it worked fine.

I validated the steps in the notes, this is pretty much similar and good references.

Hi All,

Thanks for your support, I have activated the domain by adjusting the tables DDPRS and DDRPH, then activated the standard table in SE11 when no users were accessing it, it was activated.

Many helpful answers and Maverick's notes are good reference for future issues like this. I mark it as correct answer to tag that notes with this question.
