can anyone plz tell how to attach a Z function module to a process code .

Hi Mir,

If it is the inbound idoc, then the answer is as follows :

Create Inbound process code and assign inbound function module – Transaction WE42.

For example :

Process code Inbound function module

zmat z_idoc_input_type_01

(You have to click on function module.)

The steps can be :

Go to T. code WE42.

Click on new entries.

Give the required etails.

click ok.

Finally enter the other details, Function module name..

if ur created Process code

then

1) Enter Tran...WE42 ( Inbound Process Code )........WE41( Outbound Process Code )....every thing is same for both inbound & outbound

2) Search the list for the Process code which u have created ( Press position ....enter process code )

3) Double click on the process code

4) U will get option to enter ur Z function module name

Like this

Process code :- name of the process code

Description :-____________________-

Identification :- Enter the name of Z function Module

Option ALE :- select with ALE

Processing Type :- select Processing by FM.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY BUT WHEN I AM TRYING TO ATTACH THE FM BUT THE Z FUNCTION MODULE IS NOT COMING IN THE DROPDOWN.

Hi,

Ur FM should be active. u need to type the name of the function module. since IDENTIFICTAION option is very generic and it is multi purpose.

Enter the Name of the Function Module in the Identifiction field

and

Processing type should be :------- Processing by function Module.

Save it.

Double click on the function module. it will take to SE37 with FM defination.

Hi Mir,

Make sure, in WE57 you have an entry of the function module with the correct direction (inbound - 2 or outbound 1).

Then only you will get the FM in drop down list.
