i want to update the external number,which u.xit do it i tried 20 and 10 but it's not work ther is else.

The EXIT_SAPLMLSR_020 is called in include LMLSRF6B of main program SAPLMLSR, here the header line of table essr is transferd to exit, so put this code in EXIT_SAPLMLSR_020:

DATA: FIELD(30) VALUE '(SAPLMLSR)ESSR'.

FIELD-SYMBOLS: <FS_ESSR> TYPE ESSR.

ASSIGN (FIELD) TO <FS_ESSR>.

select single aufnr from ebkn into ebkn-aufnr

and bnfpo = <FS_ESSR>.-bnfpo

and loekz = ' '.

i need to remark w_ekbn becuase i get err.

excuse me! Yes you have to define a work are for ekbn table so:

DATA: w_ebkn LIKE EBKN.

I saw this exit is called in PBO, so perhaps is better to use the exit 21 instead of 20, because it's used in PAI, so you could place the code above in 21.

but what about xit 10 i dont need him.

and what about this data where i update him i need to put it in c_essr?

In my system I can't use those exits, but I believe the right exit to change the data of ESSR structure is 10.

But if you say the fields banfn and bnfpo are empty, the exit 10 is useless for you, so try to use only 21 (just I said before I think it's better than 20 because it's placed in PAI).

Anyway you should try to know in which moment those exits are triggered, what's very important to decide which exit has to be used.
