Enhance a custom parameter

Hi Experts,

I need help on the below issue.

I have a custom parameter and it is added in the user profile.

Now it can contain 1 value. And I need to modify it to allow multiple values.

Can anybody give some idea on this how can go ahead.

Try with modifying the data element created with that particular custom parameter ID. Add a value table or Value ranges for the domain associated for the data element.

What do you want exactly, "multiple values of a parameter id". A parameter id contains ONE current value, course this value can be a concatenation of multiple values or a structure.

With transactions SU01 or SU3, you will only be able to input one record per parameter id. (Primaty keys of USR05 are MANDT, BNAME and PARID)

Thank you much for your reply.

Right now the parameter is accepting one value for warehouse.

Now I need to modify it to allow multiple warehouses.

Can you please guide me how can we achieve this.

Also can you please let me know to where can we check to which field it is assigned to.

If you want to use a standard or similar memory id associated to a data element, you cannot affect multiple values. (This should also answer the second question -> look for data elements using the memory id, but there could be "hard coded" usage in some programs, there is a where-used icon on memory id display, so select Programs, Screens, Classes and Data Element)

If you want multiple values you have to create your own memory id via SE80 and in every program intended to use it you have to code mapping from/to the single value memorized to your program internal table (list of values).

Also remember the maximum length is 40 character if you want this value to be memorized in user parameters.
