SAP SCRIPT - change the output language

Hi Experts,

In my scenario, the form output is in German Language(DE), I need to print this in English.

1) In the form the text is hardcoded in Windows, so I commented the text and written the same text in English . But these changes are not reflecting.

But these changes are not reflecting . I underlined some text, that is hard coded in the script

2) In the debugging, it is not showing my English text, it is showing only German text (please find the attachment - debug screen ).

3) In the debug screen, top of the page it is showing FORM – DE. This means the German language? how can I change this.

For your information, I am testing in same client.

I am unable to understand how can I proceed on this , please advice me.

you are sure that you have commented all the text? the word amgerechnet is commented?

Hi Murali,

Why not store the English text as a standard text element and then pull it in with an include statement.

For example:

/: INCLUDE Z_SETTLE_GI OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE E.

Hi,

Change the form's Original Language from DE to EN.

1. Open the form with language DE in SE71 in change mode.

2. Then, UTILITIES--->Convert Original Language

There enter the target language as EN.

Again open the form with language EN and Activate the form.

Even you have commented the DE line and used new line with EN, its not showing in the debugger screen-shot you have given. Are you sure the Print Program is calling the same form you have made changes? Check in NACE or where the form is defined to the print program.

Yes, it is not going to the ELSE part, and that IF condition is for 'STOCK INDICATOR'.

That word is continued from the previous line. By default it is not allowing to give any option there.

For my system, "convert original language" is disable.

It would replace the line where the hard-coded text is located.

Then in t-code SO10, you create the standard text Z_SETTLE_GI (or whatever you want to name it) in lanuguage 'EN'.

So, the line that now looks like:

UL We settled the following goods issue from your consignment stock:

would look like

/: INCLUDE Z_SETTLE_GI OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE E
