Hi Shree,

What is the exact form of your IMPORT/EXPORT statement?

Some statements have become obsolete for unicode systems.

This may or may not be the cause of your issue.

Documentation on the obsolete statements can be found at:

This error is not related to export/import. You field symbol is not assigned. Find out why.

When my program call zsubmit then control goes to export option then it gets dump.. it's not related to field symbol in my program

Try to find the relevant code generating the dump, here all what we can see at distance is that a field symbol is not assigned, so could you try to identify/post some relevant code between IMPORT/EXPORT and ASSIGN ?

Hi Shree,

Its properly mentioned from the dump, that the error is due to assigning the field symbol and not with IMPORT/EXPORT.

its probably the type miss-matching of field-symbols during the assignment.So check whether declaration of field-symbols are proper and also UNASSIGN <field-symbols> before you ASSIGN them.

The error seems more relative to a wrong ALV field catalog (18th displayed column does not exist in internal table ?) I don't see any connection to IMPORT/EXPORT, which don't prove that is not related, but cannot conclude with current information provided. Did you use some dynamic coding ?

Hi Shree,

I agree with Raymond when he directs you to the ALV field catalog.

There is something that you have not have not defined correctly in your ALV inputs. It could be the field catalog or the layout.

I suggest you put a breakpoint at the beginning of the form where the debugger shows the syntax error SAPLKKBL-gen_field_out2.

Then look at the contents of the the gs_out-field_colcount just before it terminates. ( You will probably stop here a few times before you are on the column that is causing the termination)

You can also look at the the structures gt_stack-it_fieldcat and gt_stack-is_layout to see what you are sending to the ALV logic.

Thanks, but I already noticed that this is a field symbol assignment problem (*). And this code is in ALV tool related to mapping of data from internal table to display table with the field catalog. So it is not related to import/export as far as I can see. Did you build a dynamic catalog, call a FM, or ? the dump is neither triggered by an IMPORT or EXPORT statement, can be related to what you try to do with the result of the IMPORT, but you will have to provide more information if you want some effective help.

I agree with am sure this error is due to incorrectly filled ALV fieldcat internal table, please check 18th field of fieldcat whether you are passing correct fieldname in fieldcat-fieldname.

This is report to be executed via SUBMIT to get final_DATa from another report.

SUBMIT zpp_grn USING SELECTION-SCREEN 1000

WITH s_para1 IN s_para1

WITH s_para2 IN s_para2

WITH s_date IN s_date.

EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN.

*----Following Command can be used to reterive final internal table of another report Z---

REFRESH it_final[].

IMPORT it_final FROM MEMORY ID 'TABLE'.

*-------

Another Report....

actually dATa filling in final_data in another report....

EXPORT IT_FINAL TO MEMORY ID 'TABLE'.

What could be the reason i'm not getting the final_data...

Only think we need exact statment which is used in ECC 6.0 for IMPORT & EXPORT.
