Excel Download format error

Hi guys as there are many similar post but none of the place i got my solution resolved. I have downloaded the data in internal tables everything is fine but when i am openings in excel sheet the numbers are getting converted to exponential.. is there any genuine solutions. i want the data in the same format as it is in Excel.

Hi,

maybe is just the format of your Excel cell, try to change cell format

Hope its not a problem from ABAP, try to solve in excel sheet by select the reqd entries - Format cell - select the "TEXT" option. or just add single quote(') before the cell value..

Hi Anand,

thanks i have solved that using excel sheet , but when i open the same file in office org in xml format the first columns data is getting fetch after lots of space.

Hi Kaushik,

are you using GUI_DOWNLOAD ? "Yes"

Pass FILETYPE = 'DBF'

then Check .

'DBF' :

Data is downloaded in dBase format. Since in this format the data types of the individual columns are stored as well, you can often avoid import problems, for example, into Microsoft Excel, especially when interpreting numeric values.
