insert statement not working even though different primary key records

Hi all

We are tryig to insert statement to inser data in ztable . even though different primary key having same quantity field is not taking 2nd row in ztable. it is showing in Work area but not in ztable

Are you getting any error? Can you post screenshots of your the contents of your workarea and table?

The INSERT statement is working correctly since decades (when used correctly). I bet on a programming glitch, so better post (the relevant portion of) your code for worldwide support to have a look.

Syntax

INSERT { {INTO target VALUES source }
| { target FROM source } }.

The statement INSERT sets a database lock until the next database commit or rollback. If used incorrectly, this can lead to a deadlock.

The two variants with INTO and VALUES or without INTO with FROM behave identically, with the exception that you cannot specify any internal tables in source after VALUES.

check values of below fields and let us know

The INSERT statement sets the values of the system fields sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt.

Please check if the ztable have other unique index than the primary.
