Authorization error in new project in Eclipse

Hi ,

I am geting below error in eclipse in ABAP editor when try to create a new project

User G5593MM is not authorized to access system IED via ABAP in Eclipse (The system does not support Eclipse based ABAP Development Tools)

The IED system is on ABAP 731 , i have activated service in SICF as mentioned in document as well as i can see both the authorization object ( as per installation guide) assigned to my user id.

I am using eclipse 3.7.

Please help me in getting it set up .

Hi Madhumati,

which support package of SAP_BASIS is installed in your ABAP system? ABAP development tools require at least support package 4.

SAP_BASIS component is 731

I need more detailed information about your installed SAP_BASIS 731: which support package of SAP_BASIS 731 is installed?

If SAP_BASIS 731 support package <= 3 is installed, ABAP development tools won't work.

If SAP_BASIS 731 support package >= 4 is installed, ABAP development tools should work and we have to look for another reason.

Support pack is 3.

I was able to conenct to other development system.
