How to find out reference table & reference field?

Hai All!

I am trying to create a zsflight table, which contains a field named "PRICE" of type CURR & length 15.

How can i findout suitable reference table & reference field for this. I tried different options by nothing is giving

proper input...

Hi Smitha Avinash,

To find reference table and field, click on currency/quantity fields tab for any table

Eg: SE11 ->> VBAP , Now view currency/quantity fields tab.

You can use VBAP as reference table and reference field as WAERK for currency

First look for a field related to currency like a company or country code in your table, if you can establish a foreign key with a table (like T001 for company) which carry a currency code) use this (eg. T001-WAERS) else add a currency code in your table and use it.

Looks like you are creating a table similar to sflight! As suggested by Atha, you could check the currency/quantity fields tab of table SFLIGHT in SE11 to get the right idea for Ref. field and Ref. table!

On a sidenote you could also do F1 to understand their significance. Thanks!

Hi,

Table DD01L will help you to find the relvent reference domins for your requirement .

then in T-code SE11 place the domine and use where used button to find reference field and reference table for your requiremnt

Field name "PRICE" of type 'CURRENCY' & Length 17.

Hi,

Give zsflight table itself reference table and add one more filed as currency key of type CUKY(currency key).

Hi,

To make it work you have to add one more field say CURCODE to your table with Data Type - CUKY.

Now in the reference table column of field PRICE enter table zsflight which is the same table you are working on and reference field CURCODE.

Whenever you create a field with Data type CURR you have to provide a reference field of Data Type CUKY.

Reference table is the table which has the field with data type CUKY, which is zsflight in this case as you added the CUKY field in the same table and reference field is CURCODE data type CUKY.
