SAP GUI security settings

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a code where I'm using method gui_download to download the contents of internal table to a shared folder on the internal SAP network

CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download

EXPORTING

filename = lcl_filename

filetype = 'BIN'

CHANGING

data_tab = lcl_bin_table

The download works fine if I set the SAP GUI security setting to always Allow. But when it is set to Ask(which is default) the method raises an exception ACCESS_DENIED. I was wondering why it does not prompt the user for permission?

Also can I modify the SAP GUI security settings from within the code? Kindly help.

P.S: I actually do have full access permission to the folder in question, at the windows level.

Hi Vasudev,

This could be a patch issue.

Can you check with BASIS?
