Removing Equipment BOM-Through ABAP Program

Hi Experts,

I have hundreds of Equipment with Bill of Material in the SAP system.Now i want to remove some of the material.May i know is it Possible through the BDC or any other ABAP program.

Suppose I have equipment E100000 under this there are Materials (M1, M2, M3 & M4 etc.) Here i want a programe which remove only that material which i want like M4.Similarly there are many Equipments with BOM.

Could you please suggest me how to get this.

Use function CSAI_BOM_MAINTAIN. in STPOB the deletion indicator must be set to 'D' for field VBKZ and MVBKZ. To populate the function use values from CSAI_BOM_READ.

This worked for me. I spent some time trying to get it to work but make sure to "COMMIT WORK AND WAIT" or some variation afterwards, I took for granted that the flag in the maintain function module would do this for me. Just wanted to save others some head scratching
