Programs last changed by SAP

Hey guys!

My name is Malina and I'm quite new with SAP.

I'm trying to figure out who last changed a program.

Through table TRDIR I entered the program name and saw that it was last changed(through field UNAM) by user SAP.

Does this mean that:

- the program was last changed during a SAP Patch?

- the program was last changed via SAP*?

Hello Malina,

I work as developer at SAP in Customer Support team.

When i logon to the customer systems, i see the last changed by column shown there as 'SAP' as mentioned but the same code in our codebase will have the exact user names for all the versions.

So as mentioned by you, once the product is installed at the customer site and also after the SP upgrades also, it will have the last changed by as 'SAP' for all development objects delivered by SAP.

I vaguely remember that until the mid 1990s or so the objects still showed the actual user name of the SAP developer. I assume that after some dozens were hired away and others were sent nice letters by the customers when their code dumped, the generic user name "SAP" was introduced.
