activate table in ABAP Dictionary?

Hi all,

when i creat a material via MM01,the system shows "the material 1987 was created"then immediately display the material,i see the message

“Express Document "Update was terminated" received from author”

i checked in SM13,and see this:

Class: 00 Number: 671

00 671: ABAP/4 processor:DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

Report: LMGMVFSQ Row: 760

When i activate the tabl MATNR(material number) via SE11,but in SE16 ,the message is as follows:

Table MATNR is not active in the Dictionary

Any help would be appreciated.

MATNR is not a table but a data element... (SE11 -> execute display)

Are there more information on the DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR in ST22 or SM21 transactions like duplicate keys or table space full...

PS: Also, to identify table with inconsistencies between DDIC and Database, use transactions like DB02.

Hi SAP er,

Check if any commit statements or function modules are inserted in report LMGMVFSQ through enhancement as it is cancelling the updates to DB tables. Or check if any function modules relate to 'Buffer refresh' are used.

'MATNR' is not a table, it is data element used for material number. Hence it can not be viewd through SE16. Since you are checking it in SE16 , you are getting the error called 'Table MATNR is not active in the Dictionary'.

Try to debug and check if any wrong select/modify statement is used.

Refresh SAP Buffers with /$SYNC Command. Since it is a Material Master which comes under full Bufferring sometimes system may need to refresh the buffer. When u check the Material it will be seen in MM03 Transaction. Hope this Helps.

yap,in the SM21 view,these errors are occured as the same time as DBIF_RSQL_ERROR

All buffers are reaet,but it can not works

So the actual error is ORA-00947, missing values, more fields in database than in ddic, were fields removed recently ?

Does transaction DB02 show an error for table "MARA" and not "MATNR", try to activate MARA from SE11 or SE14 (keeping data of course)

there is no "Buffer refresh",But can you let me know how to find the table ?

I checked MARA in SE11,and it's status is "partly active" can you tell me how to activate all.

also, SE14 not respond

Goto SE11 from the Menu Utility --> Database Utility.

Click on Activate and Adjust Database with Save Radio Button.
