Dropdown box label - change dynamicaly

I have a dropdown box, an a label to its left. I want to change the label depending on the value I choose in the dropdown box.

As i have experience with .Net I take this for granted, but i'm starting to fear I can't do this in abap.

Am i correct? You can't change label elements dynamically in PBO/PAI?

Hi,

Instead of a label element use input / output text element and change the label dynamically. You just have to grey out the look so that it looks like a Label.

Hi,

It cannot be done if you set it as a static text. as Ravi suggested, you can do it with IO fields.

you can't change the labels dynamically, instead You take I/O and Make it Output only as suggested that will solve your Problem.

Please note that changing a dropdown label dynamically is very poor screening.

It actually violates Microsoft Windows standards.

I would recommend re-designing your screen to make it more user-friendly. Changing key fields like dropdown labels will confuse users greatly and make your app like "buggy" as well.

Although I'm aware that this not the most correct way to do things, some SAP Dynpro limitations/standards leave me with little choice.

User-interfaces in .Net are much more flexible and userfriendly.

.NET is definitely more flexible.

But I can think of no ABAP screening limitation that would force me to make a dropdown label dynamic. I truly believe that you need to re-visit your screen design.

Or get some additional training in screen design with SAP.
