Enhancement of Material master basic data 2 tab

Hi All,

I have a requirement to enhance the screen of Material Master in Basic data 2 Tab with 2 custom fields.

I did the development by following http://saptechnical.com/Tutorials/ExitsBADIs/MM/MM01.htm link

and also checking note 0000044410.

The issue was, values were not getting saved in the Database.

Hence for that I used BADI_MATERIAL_CHECK to save data.

I am able to do that using assign statement and also using Memory ID. but that is strictly prohibited for use.

Does anyone have alternative suggestions?

search with ( MDG1 and MM01) on any search engine, you will get result, here are few suggestion.

You need to copy MDG1 function group to custom function group like ZMDG1.

in SPRO: give Z custom FM in

Problem is resolved

Hi Vipin,

I followed the same steps.. but actual problem was with Saving new or changed data back to Database without using 'assign stmt' or 'memory Id stmts'.

Solution : I copied all the flow logic from standard screen 4004 into my custom screen. It is taking care of each and every thing and my requirement is also get satisfied with that.
