enable table logging in sap

Hi ,

I have checked "Log Data changes" for a Table LXXX and in

Tr Code RZ11 for "rec/client" Profile Value & Current Values are set and the Default Value if "OFF".

If i change the Qty field i am not able to find the changes in the CDHDR & CDPOS but if check the

same in Tr Code "SCU3" i can see the Old & New values.

Could any body let me know if i need to do anything more.

Confusion between Change documents (CDHDR/CDPOS) which are generated programmatically and Logging Changes to Table Data which are generated by OPEN-SQL interface depending on rec/client profile parameter and flag on data element.

To read those table log, use FMs like DBLOG_READ or DBLOG_READ_TABLE, DBLOG_READ_ARCHIVES. Look at my answer at Get old and new values from DBTABLOG table.

Thanx for the post.

The only problem I have is how to declare the variables used in the sample code.

How to Declare the fld_list, fld, obj_list ...

Just look at FM definition and use double-click.

PS: If you did not found it, you have to add a "TYPE-POOLS: STPRT." in the global data definitions of your program.
